Preventing Cheaters: Reporting System for Apex Legends

Hacks and cheats are considered to be bittersweet in the Apex Legends community.  Recently several popular gamers have expressed there outrage in regards to hacking as cowardly.  One recent popular case of addressing outrage on hacking was on LivestreamFails subreddit.  The post accused popular Argentine gamer streamer ‘MOBADOS’ of using third-party software to assist him get his wins.  This article suggested MOBADOS used “aimlock”, which is a tracking software to keep a player’s reticle locked on a moving target. Twitch responded by banning MOBADOS off the platform.

In response to the communities outraged, Respawn announced cheating report development.  The reporting system will be design for people to easily report cheaters in-game.

Respawn- “A more detailed post about cheating is coming, so I don’t want to steal [Community Manager] Jay’s thunder, but a reporting feature is definitely on the way.”
